Good Ways to Initialize WRF with Soil Moisture Data from offline LIS simulation

Hello,

I have done an offline run of LIS and I would like to initialize my WRF run using the soil moisture and irrigation fraction data from my LDT/LIS runs. How should I go about doing this?

Hi,
Take a look at the WPS Chapter of the WRF User's Guide. There are several sections on using various types of data - for e.g., using multiple types together (which you would need to do if only using a couple of variables from one specific type of data), writing the data into intermediate format (if they are not in gribbed format), etc.
