how to convert diagnostic output files to regular lat-lon?

Hello everyone,

I can convert history output files to regular lat-lon grids using convert_mpas program. But, I see that convert_mpas program can not convert diagnostic output files.
so, how can i convert diagnostic output files to regular lat-lon?

Please refer to the "Post-processing and visualizing MPAS-Atmosphere output" tutorial lecture. In particular, slide 6 explains how to interpolate the fields in diagnostics files.
