landuse change for wrf

Hi,

I wanted to run wrf model with different landuse category. And I tried changing only lu_index for geo_em* file. It turn out that the change in the wrfout results didn't look reasonable. So, my question is if I need to change anything else [albedo12m] in geo_em*.

lu_index is determined in geogrid based on input static dara, but it is then adjusted in REAL program to be consistent with other variables like soil type and lands mask. However, the adjustment is minor and I don't think it can significantly affect the result.

How did you change the lu_index? What makes you think the simulation is unreasonable?
