NaN values using convert_mpas

Hello,

I ran a 24 km resolution regional MPAS simulation and used the "convert_mpas" in several ways:
convert_mpas iberia.static.nc diag*nc
convert_mpas history.2025-11-18_18.00.00.nc history*nc
convert_mpas history.2025-11-18_18.00.00.nc
All of them return NaN values for the latlon.nc variables. I deleted the output before every try and verified that both the history and diag files contain valid (non-NaN) values.

My target_domain file is:
startlat = 40.5
endlat = 42.9
startlon = 0.2
endlon = 3.3
nlat = 11
nlon = 11

Does anyone know what might be causing this issue?

What is the area covered by your 24-km regional MPAS run?

Can you upload iberia.static.nc and a single history file for me to take a look? Thanks.

Thank you for answering,
The mesh covers the Iberian Peninsula and surrounding regions, the maximum and minimum latitudes are 32.7°N and 49.0°N, the longitudes 350.1ºE and 10.1ºE. I can't upload the files directly, I think they are too large.

I have downloaded your data and run conver_mpas. I can repeat your issue. Sorry that I don't have an immediate answer why it yields NaN value for quite a few variables. However, several variables like ivgtyp, landmask etc. are correct in the latlon.nc.

I will look into this issue and get back to you once I know for sure what is wrong. Meanwhiole, Please also keep me updated if you find a solution. Thanks in advance.
