Next WRF Release date?

Usually WRF comes out in springtime. Do we have a release date planned?

We are trying a new method of making a release PR to increase transparency, as there is often a lot of involved testing in preparation for the yearly releases. Please refer to Release v4.7.0 by islas · Pull Request #2172 · wrf-model/WRF for unofficial updates on the progress. Feel free to checkout the release branch and test it if you are inclined to do so. I encourage you and those in the community that if you do test it and find issues to post only the issues on that PR discussion.

We have some issues in the newly added microphysics scheme UDM. The release date can only be determined after these issues are fixed.
As Islas stated, please feel free to run tests and let us know if you find any problems.
