How should I convert ppmv to ppm?

I must compare observation data (in ppm) with simulation results (in ppmv). Shouldn't I convert them to the same unit???
I found this formula (CO in ppm* CO density = CO in ppmv). Is that true?

Hi Mona,

If your measurements are truly in ppm by mass, then yes you need to convert. Often this is not the case.
