I have two questions from the technical note downloaded from "https://opensky.ucar.edu/islandora/object/opensky:2898"
1. Equation of state (equ.2.16 at p9): p=p0*(Rd*theta_m/p0/alpha_d)^gamma. Does anyone know where is this equation from? Is there any book or paper that discuss this equation of state?
2. In section 2.4, pressure is further decomposed to p_avg(z)+p'. Which variable in WRF is "p_avg(z)"? I want to output the variable from the simulations. Since hydrostatic pressure is "phi", I am wondering what is p_avg(z).
