real latitude and grids

Hello,

I am very confused on guessing real lat long and grids
e.g. lat 35 lon 36
I have 148*148 grids
How can I know on which grids are lat and lon patching?
I mean e.g. j=145 equals lon 36 and i=144 equals lat 35
How can I be sure?
