Dear NCAR/MMM Team,
I am currently researching typhoon simulations using MPAS and would like to explore further running MPAS-JEDI.
While following the official MPAS-JEDI tutorial, I noticed that the file mpasjedi_tutorial202410HOWARD (located at /glade/derecho/scratch/liuz/mpasjedi_tutorial202410HOWARD) is required. Since I do not have access to the NCAR Derecho system, I would like to kindly ask whether you could provide a copy of this file or suggest an alternative way to obtain it.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Hi,
Those files for Howard tutorial have been deleted. We have siliar files saved in /glade/derecho/scratch/liuz/mpasjedi_tutorial202509NCAR
However, this directory contains all materials (codes, data etc.) with a large storage size for the JEDI tutorial.
Can you tell me what specific files and datasets you are looking for?

I’m glad to hear this news, and thank you very much for your kind help.
I’m following the MPAS-JEDI official tutorial, specifically the 0.Prerequisites and environment setup section. The files I need are shown in the screenshot attached below.

I could find the following information in derecho;

background Bflow_preprocessing crtm_coeffs_v3 MPAS_JEDI_yamls_scripts obs_bufr

background_120km
B_Matrix cyclingDA MPAS_namelist_stream_physics_files omboma_from2experiments

Bflow_global120km
conus15km ensemble ncl_scripts

However, some of those information listed in the tutorial page are not available. It seems that the tutorial page is still the old one ( the one used for tutorial in Howard). Sorry that I am not a JEDI expert and don't know all the details. Would you please contact our JEDI expert (Jake Liu, liuz@ucar.edu) for more detailed information?

OK, thank you for looking into this and for the detailed information. I appreciate you providing the contact for our JEDI expert, Jake Liu. I will reach out to him for further details. Hope you have a great day.
