While running simulations and comparing temperature, wind, and rainfall for WRF, WRFDA (3dvar), and WRFDA (4dvar), I observed successful runs with differences between WRF and WRF (3dvar). However, there was no notable distinction between WRF and WRFDA (4dvar) in all cases. If 3dvar shows improvement in predictions, it is expected that 4dvar should lead to even better enhancements or, at the very least, show differences from WRF results, Right?
