Sensitivity test in WRF

Hi all,
How can I modify the namelist.input file to lower the surface moisture by 50% in the WRF-ARW model?
(I want to initialize the simulation by considering only 50% of the surface moisture)

Hi,
This is something you likely will need to modify in your input data files. You can make modifications to the soil fields in either the met_em.* or the wrfinput* NetCDF files, but you will need to figure out a way to do this. Take a look at this post. Although the person ran into issues, some of the conversation in the post may be helpful. Otherwise, you can probably search on this forum or generally online to learn how to modify NetCDF files.
