If you have an interest to begin to work with the Model for Prediction Across Scales – Atmosphere (MPAS-A) and/or MPAS-A within the Joint Effort for Data assimilation Integration (JEDI) system, the Mesoscale and Microscale Meteorology Laboratory of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and Howard University will be hosting an in-person tutorial on MPAS-A, followed by a tutorial covering the use of MPAS-A with JEDI. The tutorials will take place on the campus of Howard University, Washington DC during the week of 30 September to 4 October 2024, with the MPAS-A tutorial on 30 September to 2 October (Monday – Wednesday) and the MPAS-JEDI tutorial on 3 – 4 October (Thursday – Friday). There will be no online/virtual component for these tutorials. Attendees can choose to participate in either or both of the tutorials, and each tutorial has its own registration fee.

See MPAS-Atmosphere and MPAS-JEDI Tutorial for additional information and for a link to the registration site.
