Hi,
I’m running WRF with the multi-layer urban scheme (BEP+BEM) using WUDAPT data to analyze the impact of urbanization for an Indian city. Since I don’t have specific urban morphology data for this city, I’m relying on the default parameters in the model. The estimated AC usage in this city is around 20–30%, so I’m considering turning off air conditioning in the model by setting SW_COND=0.
My question are
(i) Do I need to change anything else in the URBANPARAM_LCZ.TBL (or any other related files) when turning off air conditioning?
(ii) Would turning AC off still realistically represent urban heat flux in such a city, where coolers or other alternatives might be used?
Thanks,
Sushmita
