This is the frequency in time steps for reading observational input and calculating innovation. A compatible setting for auxinput11_interval_s would be to simply set it to the same value as the namelist variable time_step. This simply acts as an "alarm time," so that WRF will check at multiple of this time interval to see if a read is needed (per obs_ionf). The read will be done at the obs_ionf frequency. It should be noted that the general concept is that one should only assimilate data that represents the weather on the scales that can be resolved by the model. For example, 1-min data may contain information about turbulence, which the model will not resolve. Hence, forcing it into the model will only cause problems. It will also depend on what type of data you are assimilating. If it is only point data, you may not be very successful in assimilating it. If the coverage is sufficiently large, then the chance for success is greater.
