WRF output for selected variables?

Hi all,

As wrf's output files contains so many variables (https://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/docs/user_guide_V3/user_guide_V3.9/users_guide_chap5.htm#fields), those files become very large. I just need only 10-12 variables from all these fields. Is there any way I can select only the variables I need instead of having a larger output?

Yes, you can. Take a look at the Runtime I/O option, which allows you to remove variables.
