WRFDA Compile Error

I'm trying to compile WRFDA with the GNU compiler suite (option 34). I've successfully compiled WRF and WPS (all are version 4.0). The WRFDA compiles fails with Error 2 and no other information. Further up (five to ten lines) in the compile log it says

No rule to make target 'copyfile.c' , needed by 'copyfile.o'. Stop.
Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Does anyone know what's causing this problem and/or how to fix it (so WRFDA compiles)?
