Dear WRF community,
Since I did not find WRFDA testdata V4.0 from page http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/wrfda/download/testdata.html, I used the latest WRFDA testdata V3.9 along with WRFDA V4.0 installed. When running the 4DVAR tutorial case in Section 6-15 (WRF User’s Guide V4.0), after setting WORK_DIR and coping the files, I executed the command: ./da_wrfvar.exe >& wrfda.log
However, I found the following error even forcing WRFDA use the old version files (through adding force_use_old_data=T in time_control record within namelist.input.
WRF V4.0 MODEL
DYNAMICS OPTION: Eulerian Mass Coordinate
alloc_space_field: domain 1 , 768521848 bytes allocated
med_initialdata_input: calling input_input
This input data is not V4: OUTPUT FROM REAL_EM V3.9pre#2 PREPROCESSOR
Input data is acceptable to use: wrfinput_d01
---- ERROR: Cannot have old input data when requesting use_theta_m=1
NOTE: 1 namelist vs input data inconsistencies found.
