WRFDA v4 test data?

Hello,

I am trying to run the 4DVar test case. The user guide says:

"[...] download the sample data for the tutorial case, valid at 12 UTC 5th February 2008, from

http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/wrfda/download/testdata.html

Once you have downloaded the WRFDAV4.0-testdata.tar.gz file [...]"

However, at that link, the most recent file available to download is for version 3.9. I tried to see if this older data would work but got the following error:

"-------------- FATAL CALLED ---------------
FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: <stdin> LINE: 329
---- ERROR: The input file appears to be from a pre-v4 version of WRF initialization routines
-------------------------------------------"

So, where can I find the test data for version 4.0?

Hi Sofia,

You may add at

force_use_old_data = true,

at WRFDA namelist.input inside &time control section
