WRFPLUS V3.9 compile problem ( no rule to make target ‘wrfplus’)

Dear WRF Community,

I have met a problem when compiling WRFPLUS V3.9 code. After setting NETCDF, HDF5 environment variables, I tried ./configure wrfplus. Serial & GNU are selected.

./compile wrfplus >& compile.out

would give error as:

no rule to make target ‘wrfplus’

Any indications would be appreciated. Thanks.

'./compile wrfplus' is from WRF V4.0. Please check V3.9's users guide for wrfplus compilation.

Yes, I should use "./compile wrf >& compile.out". Thanks.
