Does anyone have the wrfinput and wrfbdy files for the 1KM case? The data that comes with the download is not 1KM

Hi, I assume you're referring to the Maria 1-km case listed here? The case is a nested simulation, with a parent dx of 5-km and a nest at 1-km. Because the wrfbdy file is specific to d01, it will use the 5-km grid spacing, but the wrfinput_d02 file available with that download should use 1-km grid spacing.

SO this is in the namelist.input
e_we = 900, 1661, 94,
e_sn = 900, 1591, 91,
but for the conus 2.5KM case it is this:
e_we = 1501,
e_sn = 1201,
I guess I am confused. Shouldn't there be many more points for Maria domain 2 to be 1 KM.
OK I see this:
parent_grid_ratio = 1, 5, 3,
so this means the inner grid is 1/5 of the outer and just covers a much smaller domain than the conus grid

Yes, that's correct. The 1km Maria domain is the nest, and although it uses a 1-km resolution, the full size is smaller in area than the entire CONUS domain.OK I see this:
