How to convert 3-hourly rainfall of wrfout file to 24h or daily?

rainc and rainnc are accumulated variables in wrfout.
Suppose you run WRF and save wrfout after 24-hr integration, then rainc + rainnc in wrfout is 24 precipitation.
if you have precipitated at 3-hr interval, then you can obtain 24-hr precipitation by adding those 3-hr precipitation.
