3DTKE - new scheme- open boundary issues

I have tested the new 3DTKE scheme implemented in WRFV4.2 against the MYNN scheme. I find an issue along the northern and southern boundary in an idealized channel (treated as norther and southern boundaries as "open"). In comparison, the MYNN scheme do not show such a high wind speed. Any idea why there is such a discrepancy?

I have talked to our expert about this issue. At present we don't know yet the reason why 3DTKE behaves differently to MYNN. We will look ito this issue and keep you updated for any progress.
