Hi:

I'm a new user of WRF and I'm still in learning process. I looked up the variables in wrfout and found U10 and V10 as the U-component and V-component of wind at 10m level but there was no "W10"。The W variable described the W-component of wind, but the lowest level was set as 29.36m (43 height levels in total). Is there any way that I can extract the W-component of wind on the ground surface like 10m level? Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

WRF doesn't output W at ground level. As far as I know, there is no post process package that diagnoses W at 10m.
