Can the idealized case "em_quarter_ss" be used to simulate non supercell thunderstorms?

I am wondering whether the "em_quarter_ss" idealized case is able to simulate non-supercell thunderstorms if I provide an input_sounding not related to a supercell but associated with a regular deep convection event? Thanks.

I believe it likely would be able to. You could do a test to see.

Thanks, Kwerner. I made some tests and it indeed produced other deep convection events. Just to confirm it theoretically.
