Combining two LANDUSEF

For my study, I need to model Houston city with nlcd2011_9s as geog_data_res. However, since my domain has some parts of Mexico (which is not included in nlcd2011_9s), is it ok to use geog_data_res = 'nlcd2011_9s+default'?

By this I am assuming that the regions which are not defined in nlcd, geogrid will take it from default (modis_30s).

Is it correct?
 
Hi,
Your option is correct. In this case, WPS will process NLCD data first and then use the default dataset to fill those areas uncovered by NLCD.
