Design coarse domain

Hi everyone!!.

I use a little bit the model, but i always have the question about the resolution of the first domain. That's why if, for example, i use input data with 1° of resolution i must design the first domain with a resolution with at least 1°/3, considering the ratio 3:1 than recommend in the manual, so can i get a smooth transition of data.

Any comments? i'm rigth or there are a point of view than i don't get?

The resolution ratio between the input data and the first domain can be more than 3:1 - up to about 7:1. If you are using input data with a resolution of 1 degree, you should be safe to use a 15km DX for your parent domain.
