Do all idealized simulations need a warm bubble, initial vortex etc., to initialize the simulation?

Hi, I'm creating my initial conditions with an idealized simulation. I have noticed that the idealized simulation in WRF uses a warm bubble or initial vortex to initialize the simulation. I was wondering if this is strongly recommended or required. It was suggested to remove those types of initial perturbation in the initial conditions. I'm confused.

It depends on the specific ideal case. Please take look at the code "module_initialize_ideal.F", which gives initialization codes of various ideal cases.
