Do I need to use both isfflx and pbl_physics?

Hello,

I am running tropical cyclone simulations using WRF-ARW. I know that PBL schemes are responsible for the surface fluxes, and that there is also another keyword (isfflx) for keeping the surface fluxes on. Is there any reason that using a PBL scheme and setting isfflx = 1 would be feeding the model redundant information about the surface fluxes? Thanks!

For real data case, both isfflx and pbl scheme should be turned on. PBL takes care of vertical mixing and it is not 'responsible' for surface fluxes.
