Does interp_method = 0 output the layers defined in namelist.input?

Hello.
I don't understand the difference of interp_method in namelist.ARWpost.
Is interp_method = 0 to output the vertical layers defined in namelist.input?
Does interp_method = -1 and interp_method = 1 compute (and output) different layers than namelist.input?

interp_method = 0 will allow ARWpost to output data on WRF model levels defined in namelist.input.
interp_method = -1, the ARWpost will automatically generated height levels and interpolate data to these levels.
interp_method = 1, the ARWpost will interpolate data to user specified levels (either pressure or height)
