download subset of the operational GFS forecasts for the WRF runs

Dear Colleges,

Can you suggest me a python script for downloading a subset of the operational GFS forecasts (https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/) for a region of interest defined by lat and lon in order to use the data in the WRF operational runs.

Now, I have to download the gfs grib files containing all parameters for the entire globe (the gfs.t00z.pgrb2.0p25.f0* files) which is a huge amount of data.

I am sorry that we don't have such a script. We use GFS data archived in NCAR CISL and don't directly obtain data from NCEP.
