ECMWF open data 0p25 grib2 Vtable?

Hello, thank you very much for sharing, but I use this method to process the OPER data of IFS in EC, and the Vtable used is Vtable.ECMWF in WRF4.6, but there is such a problem during the operation, is this normal? Attached here is my processing process file.

The ungrib.log you attached looks to be incomplete. There is no error message at the bottom. When you process ungrib.exe, does it run to this point and then just stop, or does it hang and you stop it after a while?

Did you test this method successfully? If yes, may I ask:
1) Did you use ECMWF files from ECPDS, here? ECMWF Data Store (ECPDS)
2) Which version of the grib_set tool did you use?

I'm asking, because in my tests, this doesn't work; my ungrib does not recognize soil fields at all... I wrote about this here. Please let me know. Thanks.
 
I use ECMWF IFS oper grid2,/Ungrib.exe executed successfully, but / Metgrid.exe execution failed
At line 111 of file gridinfo_module.f90 (unit = 10, file = 'namelist.wps')

how to use eccodes to separate out grib 2 and grib 1 data first before running ungrib based on ECMWF data. :cry:

 

thanks for your reply , it loss soil data, but NCAR researcher said we can use ecCodes to extra it, but I dont know how to do it!
 
这是我的解决办法,已经可以正常运行了,将附件脚本放入下载的ECMWF气象预测文件夹内,我这里下载的是https://data.ecmwf.int/forecasts/20...和wgrib2,这样处理完的数据会生成到脚本对应的目录,你可以自行修改output_dir = '/home/WPS/NEW-ECWMF',再然后就按照正常的WPS去处理这个数据,关于Vtable.ECMWF我也放在附件里。当运行WRF中的real.exe的时候,需要将namelist.input中的sf_surface_physics 设置为1,然后就可以正常运行了,至于为什么其他地表方案不行,应该是ECMWF的数据有部分缺失。还有就是num_metgrid_levels 设置为14,num_metgrid_soil_levels设置为3,我没有设置为4去试,如果有人试了,可以告诉我结果。

oper是预测数据,enfo好像是比较全的吧,之前以为缺失土壤层数,就拿这个数据试过,后来enfo的数据太大,处理完一个三小时的数据大概是9G,好像WPS运行不了这么大的数据,后面就没折腾了,具体内容,你下载的时候,他那有个.index文件,里面有这个文件包含的所有的东西。
