FNL and scatterometer data

For hindcast work I am using FNL data. FNL data should be better than GFS data, as it is based on more measurements.
Can someone inform me whether or not scatterometer surface winds are assimilated in FNL data.

Thanks for the URL. However it seems to be focussed on the output of the FNL analysis.
I couldn't find a description of the input used for the analysis.
However, I found the following web page which shows the number of samples used for by NCEP:
https://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/realtime/gfs/t18z/index.summary.shtml.
As the table shows non-zero samples for ascat I assume that ascat is used for GFS and FNL.
