Frequency of boundary condition updates

Would more frequent update of boundary condition, e.g. from 6 hourly to 3 hourly, or, 12 hourly to 6 hourly, interval of the met_em files, help to stabilize the integration process, i.e., reduce crashes of model run? as this may like to align the model run to global pattern?

More frequent update of lateral boundary condition is expected to give better results. However, the model stability is more dependent on reasonable physics/dynamics options.
