geogrid.exe error

I am running wps4.4 on ubuntu but having an error when running geogrid.exe :
./geogrid.exe: symbol lookup error: ./geogrid.exe: undefined symbol: nc_set_var_chunk_cache_ints

hope hint from the forum to solve this.

After recompile I am getting another error as shown in geogrid.log file:

Hi,
The error you're most recently seeing can sometimes indicate that you don't have permissions to write files to the current directory. Can you check your permissions? If that isn't helpful, can you
1) let me know which version of WPS you're using
2) attach your configure.wps and configure.wrf files
3) attach your namelist.wps file

I tried many directories with write permission:
drwxrwxrwx 1 sarr sarr 4096 now 5 17:24 WPS-4.4

Not sure if this might be the issue but can you try copying the geog files to the hard drive? Personally I have never had success when I have my geog files on an external drive and try to read them. Something about the read write permission of having the files on an external hard drive always messes up geogrid for me.

Maybe that will help.

Can I see the namelist.wps configure.wps and rsl.error rsl.out from when it was tested on the internal harddrive

I'm not sure if this will help at all, but can you remove these two lines from your namelist.wps file, and then try to run again?

Also, make sure that you have all the static data in the directory "/home/sarr/work/GEOG." If those don't fix the issue, it's unfortunately a problem that is specific to your environment. I would suggest speaking to a systems administrator at your institution to see if they have any suggestions.
