Getting output in Hierarchical Data Format version 5 while running WRFV4.5.1

I am able to run ./wrf.exe but when I am executing the command "file wrfout" to check the file format of output i am getting it as Hierarchical Data Format version 5.
But when I am executing the command "ncdump -k wrfout" , I am getting output as 'NetCdf 4'. Why?
Also during the configuration I get a message regarding 'This WRF Build Support NetCDF-4 with HDF5 Compression'.
Kindly help.

Hi,
I'm not sure why that command gives the "Hierarchical Data Format..." message. I'm not very familiar with that command; however, if you are able to use ncdump on a file, it means the file is in netCDF format; otherwise, it wouldn't be able to read it. The message "This WRF Build Support NetCDF-4 with HDF5 Compression" just means that your netCDF library was built with HDF5, which is perfectly fine.
