GFS WPS settings getting error in real.exe

Hi I'm trying to run a short case with GFS as initial and boundary conditions

I downloaded the files from RDA/NCAR dataset ID: d084001,

I run WPS setting Vtable.GFS and METGRID.TBL.ARW. When I run it is shows no problems, but the met_em files are missing PSFC and ST0000010 (and the other ST# variables)

Then, when I run real.exe it first says my num_metgrid_soil_levels is different between namelist and met_em files (4 vs 0), when setting to 0, it shows the following error

ERROR in psfc: flag_psfc = 0, flag_soilhgt = 1, flag_slp = 0, sfcp_to_sfcp = F
-------------- FATAL CALLED ---------------
FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: <stdin> LINE: 1403
not enough info for a p sfc computation

I tried setting sfcp_to_sfcp = .false., as suggested in other posts but I still get the same error

I sent here the namelist and rsl error file and put on nextcloud one met_em file called met_em.NC
Im running only one domain

Any ideas in what I'm doing wrong in the settings?

did you pick a subset or download the whole data files for your times?

It worked

Thank you very much

I downloaded the complete dataset (all variables, latitudes, longitudes) and it created the soil layers, spfc with no problems

Yeah sometimes that happens with subsets.

The only way I have ever gotten it to work is all the variables and then the area I want of the subset plus about another 100km around it.
