h_diabatic - theta or temp?

Hello everyone...

H_DIABATIC is given in units of K/s. But I am wondering if this is the change in potential temperature (theta), or in temperature?

I've looked in the code a bit, such as in module_big_step_utilities.F and it seems to be the theta change. But it's hard to be sure!

Hi again! Three years later...

In recent versions of WRF, we have theta_m. In the default setup, H_DIABATIC the heating rate of theta_m?
