how to estimate the mechanical effect of terrain to wind? run a dry WRF experiment?

Hi all,
I am trying to run a terrain-sensitive experiment, to extract the mechanical effect of terrain only and does not consider the moist process.
So, I plan to run a dry WRF experiment and then modify the terrain, is it a correct solution?(which should be similar to what is done by CFD or a LES simulation, but much smaller resolution).
If this experiment design is reliable, can I just set the relative humidity in met_em* to zero, and close all the relative moist-related scheme (such as microphysics and cumulus schemes)?

I am not sure whether you can find some references in the literature regarding this topic. Sorry that I don't know much about this.

However, I guess you can set RH to zero in all met_em files, which I suppose will create a 'dry' case.
