How to understand the output of the tslist

Hi, I am a newbie in wrf.
I have a question regarding the output of the tslist.
In the TS file, how are the 10u and 10v calculated?
I would like to know if the 10u or 10v are the value of the closest staggered grid or the interpolation.
Have a nice day.
 
U10 and V10 in TS output file are values at the grid point nearest to the lat/lon location you specified.
