I'm working with an idealized case over the tropics ( grid%f=3x10-5) and one of my advisors suggest that the problem in developing waves is due to problems with the radiation scheme. The question is if the radiation schemes depend on latitudes
I'm using the Baroclinic Wave case. The simulation starts in a resting atmosphere. No jet and no T and SST gradient. I modified the module_initialize...F file to generate my own initial conditions.
The standard namelist.input for this case is run without radiation. if you modified this case, I suppose you should activate the radiation scheme and provides latitude/longitude information. All the radiation schemes in WRF can only run with correct lat/lon information.
