Mean radiant temperature

Dear WRF community,

I want to calculate mean radiant temperature(MRT) from the standard wrf radiation output. For this purpose, I need the following variables,

1. surface solar radiation downwards
2. surface net solar radiation
3. direct radiation from the Sun
4. Surface thermal radiation downwards
5. Total sky direct solar radiation at surface
6. Surface net thermal radiation
7. cosine of solar zenith angle

Just wondering which fields in WRF output exactly correspond to the above. If some of the fields are not available, is there a way to calculate it from the available wrf radiation fields?

Many thanks in advance,
basit

Please see my answers below. Most of these variables are available and some are missing. Note that these variables could be scheme dependent and they may not be available in all schemes. Therefore, you need to review these variables and schemes.
1. surface solar radiation downwards
This is SWDOWN
2. surface net solar radiation
This is GSW
3. direct radiation from the Sun
Not available
4. Surface thermal radiation downwards
Are you looking for DOWNWARD LONG WAVE FLUX AT GROUND SURFACE? If so, this is GLW
5. Total sky direct solar radiation at surface
I am not sure
6. Surface net thermal radiation
Not available
7. cosine of solar zenith angle
This is COSZEN

Hi Ming,
Thanks for the detailed response . I apologize for duplicate posting. Yes, you are right no. 4 is GLW.
One question! Although this has been asked before on this forum but there was no clear answer. Does SWDOWN include both direct and diffused downward radiation? I am using RRTMG scheme.

Many thanks,
