meaning of ITIMESTEP

Hello. I don't understand the meaning of ITIMESTEP in module_surface_driver.F.
itimestep count number?
Is it the time (seconds) from the start?
What is the difference from xtime?

Please tell me the definition in detail.
 
Hi,
"itimestep" is the number of timesteps since the start of the simulation. "xtimes" is the number of minutes since the simulation start." A timestep can be multiple minutes, so these could differ.
