MYNN pbl closures in WRF 4.5

In WRF 4.5 the MYNN-EDMF scheme was updated. Now the closure level should be identified in namelist.input. In the older WRF versions, there were only 2 closure levels: 2.5 and 3. Now there is a third closure level, 2.6, which is the default in the registry. Can someone please explain what this 2.6 closure level is? Are the 2.5 and 3 closure levels equivalent to the old bl_pbl_physics=5 and 6, respectively?
