Dear users,
I am using WRF v. 4.4 and trying to run a small simulation using GFS data.
However, I am getting this error after I run real.exe:
FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: <stdin> LINE: 2792 Not enough soil temperature data for Noah LSM scheme.
Things seem ok during the other preprocessing stages (WPS V 4.5), although there is a flag when completing metgrid:
The following floating-point exceptions are signalling: IEEE_OVERFLOW_FLAG IEEE_UNDERFLOW_FLAG IEEE_DENORMAL (not sure if this is relevant?)
I am using GFS data from this source:
Grib Filter gfs_0p25
However, I am downloading only 1 of the 384 options in the "Available Files" list. I think I might be missing some data, as soil temperature, for example.
I tried downloading for a specific lat/lon subset, and also with global data.
I just wanted to make a quick run to confirm that the model is running ok. Is it possible to do so with a GFS dataset that is simple and easy to obtain manually (I can't use ftp)? If so, where can I find it?
Sorry if this is too basic, I am runnin WRF again after many years and stumbling on the initial steps.
Thanks for your help!
Julio
