Only uses th initial conditionn and boundary condition at the starting time

Dear WRF Support Team, I’m currently running WRF and would like to configure a simulation that only uses th initial conditionn and boundary condition at the starting time, and then lets the model evolve freely without any further lateral boundary forcing from the `wrfbdy` file.

I have attempted the following approaches:
- Setting `interval_seconds` in `namelist.input` to a very large value (e.g., 99999999)
- Considering manually truncating the `wrfbdy_d01` file to include only the first time step

However, I am unsure which method is officially supported or recommended for this purpose. Could you please clarify:
Thank you very much for your time and support!

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in response. I don't know that we have a method is that supported for this specific purpose, as it's not a very common practice. I recommend trying one or both and seeing if it works - you don't have to run the entire simulation - just enough time to see if it's doing what you're hoping.
