I am setting up a suite of WRF simulations using all 36 combination of the following parameters:

PBL: YSU MYNN2 ACM2
microphysics: Thompson, WSM6
Cumulus convections: Kain-Fritsch, BMJ, Tiedtke
Land surface model: Noah, CLM

Do these parameters affect the result of real.exe? In other words, can I create a set of wrfbdy files using one of the combinations and use the same set for all of the combinations?

Hi,
We know for sure that you would need to re-run real.exe if you are changing the LSM, and we used to advise that it was okay to not run real if modifying other parameters, but we recently have discovered that there may be other small changes with many of the physics options related to input fields, and unfortunately we now advise to rerun real.exe when changing any of the physics options.
