Problem running metgrid since using gribfilter based gfs files with all variables but selected geographical area

My WRF configuration was working file without any errors until I tried to use the filtered gfs data from nomads. Now my metgrid runs produce the following error: The mandatory field TT was not found in any input data. I am using the same namelist.wps that worked with the full data download.

Any clue?

This is the filter I am using:

https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/filter_gfs_0p25.pl?dir=/gfs.${wrfdate}/00/atmos&file=gfs.t00z.pgrb2.0p25.f000&all_var=on&lev_surface=on&subregion=&leftlon=10&rightlon=65&toplat=25&bottomlat=-25" -O filelist/gfs.t00z.pgrb2.0p25.f000

This is the URL for the full load that works:

https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/gfs.${wrfdate}/00/atmos/gfs.t00z.pgrb2.1p00.f000

Does the filter version require a different Vtable? I do not seem to get the required TT variable in the data output. I am attaching the ungrib.log file and the namelist.wps I was using.

I solved the problem by editing METGRID.TBL and configuring variables TT, UU and VV as mandatory=no.

Can someone help me understand why filter_gfs_1p00 with all_var=on does not produce the full set of variables in the way the full (unfiltered) load does?

I would appreciate any help!
