problem while creating ESA landuse data to geogrid binary format

Hi
I am working to convert 300m ESA land use data to geogrid binary format.
for this following steps were done;

1. the 36 category300m ESA landuse data was reduced to equivalent 24 USGS land use data
2. the reduced landuse data was rewritten into geogrid binary format
3. index files were prepared following the advanced-wps.pdf( Michael Duda)
4. geogrid.exe was executed but with many warnings related to the new binary data
5. then i tried to plot the new landuse data but it was written badly.

I got warnings like
WARNING: In source tile /opt/geodata/geog/landuse_300m_esa/00001-00853.00001-00610, point (270, 254) has an invalid category of 0
WARNING: In source tile /opt/geodata/geog/landuse_300m_esa/00001-00853.00001-00610, point (271, 255) has an invalid category of 0
WARNING: In source tile /opt/geodata/geog/landuse_300m_esa/00001-00853.00001-00610, point (272, 254) has an invalid category of 0
WARNING: In source tile /opt/geodata/geog/landuse_300m_esa/00001-00853.00001-00610, point (270, 256) has an invalid category of 0
and many more similar warnings received while running geogried.exe

Can anyone help me to sort this problem? any help will be appreciated.

hi,
it worked after some minor changes in INDEX file.
there was mismatch between binary geogrid file and index file.

now simulations is going no with esa landuse.

hoping for exciting results.
