Question about convert_mpas: Is possible to generate latlon.nc as latlon.grib2?

I would like to generate the latlon.nc (from convert_mpas tool) in grib2 format, is it possible?

If no, someone has an tip on how to convert the latlon nc file to grib2 file?

convert_mpas can only output data in netCDF format.
