questions about the surface layer scheme for MYNN3

Hi,
I'm trying to run WRF3.9.1 with the MYNN3 PBL scheme. According to the WRF user guide on Page 5-55, the corresponding sf_sfclay_physics should be 1, 2, or 5. But according to the same user guide on Page 5-86, sf_sfclay_physics should be 5 only.
I'm confused. Which surface layer scheme could work with MYNN3 exactly? And how can I tell? Is there any explanations in code or anywhere other than user guide? Or if I use the wrong sfclay scheme, the model will simply crash, and then I will know that they are not matched?

Hi , Qianqian,
MYNN3 PBl scheme only works with sf_sfclay_physics =5. I am sorry for the confusing information in User Guide.
